Burlington Rugby would be nothing without the community. It’s because of this that BRFC regularly partners with community organizations to help build a brighter future.

Special Olympics Vermont spreads smiles and supports athletic competition for many Vermonters with intellectual disabilities. Burlington Rugby has been fortunate enough to partner with them for several years, and in 2016 alone BRFC raised over $15,000 in donations.
A few highlights of this annual event:
- 2015 Penguin Plunge Champions: had the most participants of all non-student groups.
- Largest Group 9 years in a row.
- $150,000 has been raised by our club to benefit Special Olympics Vermont since 2003.

Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity Restore
Every year the entire Men’s and Women’s sides donate practice time to Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity to help unpack and organize materials in their Williston store. In 2015 Burlington Rugby emptied 12 full trailer loads of reclaimed material. This reclaimed material will go on to be resold, where profits go directly to Habitat for Humanity. This helps create sustainable local jobs, reduces waste, and engages the community.
Burlington Rugby is proud to continue their partnership with Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity.
